2020 Staff Spotlight: Michael

Name: Michael
Primary Location: Fitchburg

Q: When did you start?

A: April 2019

Q: What made you apply for this this job?

A: For a long time I tried working in an office, and it just wasn’t for me. Being active with our dogs is really important to me.

Q: What is your favorite part of daycare?

A: Meeting a certain dog as a stranger, and eventually becoming best pals.

Q: What is your favorite part of training?

A: Witnessing the reactions of our dog’s humans picking them up. The gratitude on the faces of both the dog and the client brings me special joy.

Q: Favorite thing about your team?

A: So communicative, so helpful – we really are a family.

Q: Favorite thing about the clients?

A: Getting to know them and talk about little fun quirks about their dog(s)!

Q: Favorite thing about the dogs?

A: They are always there for you, even in moments when you feel humans may not.

Q: Something unique about you – not related to the dogs

A:  I love crosswords, cucumbers, and the musical stylings of Dmitri Shostakovich.

Q: Something you’d never guess I’d do/peg me for

A: Silver or Blue

Q: Share a boring fact about yourself

A:  I enjoy some vegetarian Morningstar products – such as the buffalo chikn nuggets – more than their meaty equivalent.

Q: If you got stranded on an island & it’s just you and your best buddy dog, what other animal would you want with you and why?

A: My pet narwhal Ulysses. Because then, given this hypothetical, I’d have a pet narwhal named Ulysses, and I mean, isn’t that kind of secretly the dream?

A:  Camphor & Campfire

Q; If you could have one super power, what would it be?
