Every dog has the unique ability to use his highly developed sense
of smell to do something we cannot; he can follow the scent of a person
who walked in an area hours before! The Dog Den Tracking Classes will
help you develop this skill in your dog - no matter what the breed!
Tracking, Level One The Level One Tracking Class will introduce you to tracking and teach you the basic skills. We'll talk about equipment needed, how to lay a track, how to make a map of your track, motivational techniques, how to read your dog's tracking signals, weather conditions that affect your dog's tracking, and much more! Prerequisite: The desire to be outside and have fun with your dog! Tracking, Level Two At this level, we will handle some variation to our tracks, including longer distances and turns. We'll learn how to handle the long line that is used in tracking. And we'll work through distractions/difficulties the dogs may be having. Prerequisite: Completion of Tracking, Level One. Classes run for 4 weeks and cost $90.00 |
