🐾 Abby 🐾
Playgroup Leader
With three years of experience in canine care, Abby brings energy, patience, and a strong relationship-based approach to her role as Playgroup Leader. She believes that trust is the foundation of successful training and that dogs are far more willing to work with you when they know you’re on their side.
Abby has a special passion for enrichment—finding fun, stimulating ways to help dogs learn, succeed, and feel accomplished. She loves the joy on a dog’s face when they master an activity and the excitement they bring to each new challenge.
Although she doesn’t currently have a dog of her own, Abby grew up surrounded by English Springer Spaniels, which sparked her appreciation for sporting breeds. She has a particular fondness for Springers and Labradors and has always been interested in training hunting dogs. Her time at The Dog Den has helped her better understand canine behavior, which she’s applied to working with her family’s hunting dogs as well.
Outside of work, Abby has an active and adventurous side—she played collegiate softball and now coaches high school softball. She also loves hunting, spending time outdoors, and sharing her knowledge and skills with others.
You’ll often find Abby leading playgroups and creating engaging enrichment activities for the dogs. For her, one of the best parts of the job is the simple joy of walking into a room and seeing how excited the dogs are to see her.
