Our training philosophy is simple: engaged minds and wagging tails!

Dog training is only a small part of what we do. We are in the business of building relationships.  With a focus on welfare over obedience, we understand that behaviors that are labeled problematic are the result of an imbalance in the dog’s relationship – either with humans, with the environment, or with their self.  Our role is to help you figure out where that imbalance is and then how to balance it again. 

Dogs aren’t born with an understanding of how to live in our human world.  Natural dog behaviors don’t always make for the best citizens - at least by human standards, that is.  In teaching them the “rules”, we also look for ways to help them express their natural instincts. As Family Dog Mediators, we look to find balance in the dog’s LEGS.

That may look like training classes – to build skills to better communicate with each other.  That may look like private training or behavior consults to have a personalized plan.  No matter what your needs, we are here to help!   

Our methods are based in science and delivered with kind, humane, and ethical techniques.  We never use tools that may cause fear, anxiety, discomfort, or pain. We are relationship focused with a goal of creating a happy, healthy life for you and your dog - the life that you envisioned when you started on this journey together!
