Puppy Play & Learn is a coached puppy socialization class in Madison, WI, designed to help puppies build confidence, calm play skills, and good manners early—without the chaos of unstructured play.

What Is Puppy Play & Learn?

Puppy Play & Learn is not daycare and not a free-for-all playgroup. Puppies attend with their people for structured, guided socialization that supports healthy development.

This program focuses on:

Puppy Play & Learn Pricing

Many puppies who start around 8–10 weeks old can complete the program within the age range using a multi-session pack.

Puppy Health & Vaccine Requirements

To keep all puppies safe, participants must:

  • Have been seen by a local veterinarian prior to attending

  • Have Bordetella and Distemper vaccines

  • Have a Rabies vaccine (required if over 16 weeks old)

  • Provide clear fecal test results

If your puppy is sick (coughing, vomiting, diarrhea), please skip class and contact us—there will always be another session available.

  • Sessions are capped at 10 puppies for safety and quality.

  • Because spots are limited, cancellations within 24 hours are not refundable.

  • Your puppy must be within the listed age range on the class date. If you’re booking in the future, calculate your puppy’s age on that date and select the appropriate group.

  • Puppies rotate through matched play time, enrichment stations (sniffing, licking, puzzles, novelty), and short coaching moments. The goal is fun, safe socialization that builds confidence and calm play skills.

  • Sessions are led by CPDT-certified instructors with years of puppy experience, with an assistant on the floor for additional support and safety.

  • To attend, puppies must:

    • Have been seen by a local veterinarian prior to attending

    • Have Bordetella and Distemper vaccines

    • Provide clear fecal test results

  • Bring a harness or flat collar with a 6-foot leash (no retractables), high-value treats in small pieces, and an optional toy.
