Playgroup Leader
Pet First Aid & CPR Certified

Amanda may be new to the world of professional dog training, but she brings an eager heart, a growing skillset, and a genuine love for dogs to her role at The Dog Den. In her first few months as a Playgroup Leader, Amanda has embraced every learning opportunity, working to understand each dog’s unique personality so she can support their individual needs and help them practice new skills.

Her approach is all about taking the time to connect—to get to know each dog for who they are and learn how best to work with them. Amanda especially enjoys noticing the little ways dogs express themselves and seeing how their personalities often mirror those of their people.

Amanda shares her life with Bean, a spirited 2-year-old West Highland White Terrier who keeps her on her toes and makes every day an adventure. Her love for dogs has always been a part of her life, but joining The Dog Den gave her a chance to deepen that connection, expand her knowledge, and do work that feels both meaningful and joyful.

Outside of work, Amanda is an artist at heart. She loves trying new creative projects—painting, photography, pottery, jewelry-making—and she’s even experimented with baking dog-friendly treats. Her artistic spirit carries into her work with the dogs, where she brings patience, curiosity, and a willingness to think outside the box.

At The Dog Den, Amanda spends most of her days on the daycare floors, playing with the dogs, guiding group interactions, and working on their skills. She also pitches in with enrichment activities, giving the dogs new ways to think, explore, and have fun.

In her own words:
“I’ve only been working with dogs for a short time, but I’ve already learned so much. The team here is amazing, and I’m so grateful to be part of The Dog Den.”
