🐾 Catt 🐾
Art Coordinator | Senior Playgroup Leader | Assistant Trainer
CPACP, Fear Free Certified, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
With over 13 years of experience in animal care and behavior, Catherine—better known as Catt—is a creative force of joy, enrichment, and compassion at The Dog Den. Whether she’s crafting engaging enrichment activities, assisting in training classes, or finding the funny bone in every pup’s personality, Catt brings unmatched heart and humor to the team.
Her training approach is built on positive reinforcement and relationship-focused techniques, always prioritizing trust and connection. Catt believes in meeting each dog where they are, helping them grow into confident companions through kindness, patience, and laughter.
One of Catt’s favorite parts of the job is winning over the shy pups—earning their trust, building that special bond, and sharing their stories with the people who love them most. She has a natural gift for spotting the quirky, sweet, or silly things that make each dog unique—and celebrating them out loud.
She shares her home with two amazing dogs:
Dierks, a 90-pound Bernese Mountain Dog lap dog who lives for snuggles with his mom and human siblings
Vincent, a French Bulldog and 25-pound whirlwind of chaos and comedy who keeps life unpredictable and fun
Catt’s journey into dog care began during her time in a Veterinary Technician program, when a classmate (shoutout to Deb!) encouraged her to apply at The Dog Den. That moment changed everything. Even after a move out of state and back again, Catt’s love for this work has never wavered—“this job makes my heart happy,” she says, and it shows.
When she’s not on the daycare floor, Catt can be found laughing with dogs in enrichment, getting them to smile back at her (a guaranteed way to win her heart), or designing fun activities that challenge their minds and brighten their days.
A few fun facts?
If your dog has a smoosh face, Catt is probably already in love—boxers, pugs, Bostons, bulldogs, and Frenchies are her absolute favorites.
She can drive a manual transmission (a rare skill these days!).
And if your pup smiles—you’ve just made her day.
