Emily Anderson has been a steady and compassionate presence at The Dog Den since 2021. As a Playgroup Leader and Check-In team member, she brings mindfulness, patience, and a quiet confidence to every interaction—whether she’s guiding a busy playgroup or greeting clients at the front desk.

Her approach to working with dogs is all about discovery. Emily uses the tools and techniques she’s developed over the years, but ultimately lets the dogs show her what they need. She believes each dog is an individual, and takes pride in helping them make the most of their daycare experience—whether that means encouraging play, providing calm companionship, or recognizing when a pup just needs a break.

What Emily loves most about working with dogs is the connection. The daily interactions keep her grounded and present, reminding her to slow down and savor the moment. The dogs, in turn, trust her for her calm, observant energy.

Emily lives with her husband of 20 years, their 14-year-old child, and a home full of love: Esther, their 13-breed rescue dog from Oshkosh who loves chasing squirrels and rabbits; and two cats, Cherry and Marcy, who add their charm to the mix. A true homebody at heart, Emily finds joy in simply being with her “creatures” and creating a cozy life together.

She originally joined The Dog Den while looking to return to work after the pandemic—and quickly felt at home in the company’s values and thoughtful training culture. What began as a job became a calling, and Emily continues to learn from the dogs she spends time with every day.

In her earlier years, Emily was the artsy and musical one in her family—but these days, she’s proudly watching that creative spirit bloom in her child. Whether at home or The Dog Den, Emily leads with care, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for all the little moments that matter.
