🐾 Gerome 🐾

Playgroup Leader

Pet First Aid Certified

Gerome has been a part of The Dog Den team for two years, bringing a thoughtful, relationship-focused approach to their work with dogs. Their philosophy centers on trust and strong bonds—they believe those are the foundations for helping dogs feel secure, understood, and ready to learn.

What Gerome enjoys most is getting to know each dog as an individual—learning their quirks, their unique features, and the little things that make them who they are. That same curiosity extends to their work with people, as they value the connections they build with clients while caring for their pups.

Although they didn’t have prior dog experience before joining The Dog Den, Gerome’s eagerness to learn and their willingness to dive in quickly made them a valued member of the team. Their move to Madison allowed them to try something new, and they have been learning from the best ever since.

A lifelong hobbyist artist, Gerome loves exploring different mediums, from digital art and mixed media to knitting, scrapbooking, and doll painting. Their work at The Dog Den has even inspired them to try their hand at dog portraiture, capturing the same personality and spirit they get to see in person every day.

At the East location, Gerome can usually be found leading daycare playgroups, ensuring the dogs are having safe and happy interactions. They also lend a hand with check-ins, enrichment activities, and holiday photo sessions, making every day a little brighter for both dogs and people.

Gerome’s approach is simple but powerful: learn who each dog is, earn their trust, and make their time at The Dog Den something they look forward to.
