🐾 Lexi 🐾

Daycare Playgroup Leader – The Puppy Den & The Dog Den-Fitchburg
Pet CPR Certified

Lexi has been an integral part of The Dog Den team since 2021. With a calm presence, a keen eye for canine behavior, and a heart full of patience, Lexi has spent the past three years building meaningful connections with dogs of all ages—especially those just starting their journey in daycare.

Lexi focuses on using positive reinforcement and gentle communication to help each dog feel safe, seen, and successful. She’s especially passionate about observing each dog’s personality and tailoring her approach to help them thrive in a group environment. Whether she’s supporting a shy puppy or guiding a goofy adolescent through playgroup, Lexi brings care and curiosity to every interaction.

She’s often found at both The Puppy Den and The Dog Den-Fitchburg, bonding with dogs through enrichment, calm companionship, and play. One of her favorite parts of the job is watching the puppies grow up—celebrating each little milestone as they graduate to new adventures.

Although Lexi doesn’t have a dog of her own (yet!), her household is joyfully run by four cats: Nova, River, Willow, and Basil. She’s also been a dedicated foster for Angel’s Wish since early 2024, helping even more animals find love and stability.

Lexi’s love for animals is matched by her creativity and passion for the natural world. Outside of work, she can be found selling her crocheted plushies at local art markets around Madison or spending time in her garden, where she grows vegetables, cut flowers, and native plants as part of a backyard transformation.

Her favorite part of working with dogs? That magical moment when something clicks—when a dog suddenly understands what’s being asked and their whole body beams with pride. Lexi lives for those moments and the relationships that grow from them, one tail wag at a time.
