For the past four years, Maggie has been bringing patience, positivity, and a love for learning to her work at The Dog Den. Whether she’s helping puppies navigate their first day of daycare or guiding enrichment sessions, Maggie’s focus is always the same: building strong, trusting relationships between dogs and their people through positive reinforcement.

She loves getting to know each dog’s unique personality—and just as much, she enjoys bonding with their owners by sharing the funny, silly, and heartwarming moments that happen during the day. For Maggie, those connections are what make the work so rewarding.

Although she doesn’t have a dog of her own yet, Maggie grew up surrounded by shepherds and shepherd mixes and knows her first future pup will most likely be a German Shepherd. Her love for dogs began with Gus, a German Shepherd/Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix her family rescued when he was three years old. Training Gus alongside her dad sparked a lifelong fascination with how dogs think, learn, and connect—a fascination that eventually led her to dog training.

While shepherds hold a special place in her heart, Maggie has also grown to adore Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, and Italian Greyhounds for their quirks, charm, and boundless personality. But truthfully, she loves all breeds for the unique traits they bring to the table.

On a typical day, you’ll find Maggie at The Puppy Den, helping young pups learn, play, and grow in confidence, or greeting clients during drop-off and pick-up. She also spends time at the Fitchburg location, working with dogs on the floor, leading enrichment activities, and making sure each pup gets personalized attention.

Maggie’s mission is simple: to help every dog feel safe, happy, and understood—while keeping their people connected to all the little moments that make daycare so special.
