🐾 Sam 🐾

Senior Dog
CPACP, Fear Free Certified

Sam has been part of The Dog Den family for over six years—but his journey with us started even earlier. As a kid, he attended Puppy Social Hour with his childhood dog and left knowing exactly what he wanted to do when he grew up. Turns out, he was already standing in the middle of his dream job.

Today, Sam is a dedicated Senior Dog and a calm, steady presence for both pups and people. He primarily leads checkout at The Dog Den East, but you’ll also find him working on the play floors, assisting training classes, or traveling between locations to help wherever needed.

Sam’s approach to working with dogs is rooted in kindness, safety, and communication. He focuses on creating a truly Fear Free environment—for both dogs and their humans—using positive reinforcement and creative problem solving to ensure every interaction is supportive and respectful.

What Sam enjoys most is building bonds. Whether it's between dogs and their families, or the connection he builds with each dog himself, he takes pride in being a reliable, caring part of every dog's day.

At home, Sam shares life with Gino, a 7-year-old Husky, Staffie, and Greyhound mix rescued from the streets of Texas. Gino now enjoys a cozy, adventure-filled life—exactly the kind of transformation Sam works to create for every dog he meets.

Sam has a special love for Boston Terriers, and when he’s not at The Dog Den, he can usually be found writing, gaming, or hanging out with Gino. He brings a gentle sense of humor and a big heart to everything he does.

What does Sam want clients to know? That he’s incredibly grateful—for the trust, the conversations, and the joy of being part of each dog's life. Every day at The Dog Den is a reminder that he found his calling early—and he’s exactly where he’s meant to be.
