Q: What made you apply for this this job?

A: I grew up surrounded by animals and I have always been interested in their care, so I jumped at the chance to be able to work with dogs on a daily basis.

Q: What is your favorite part of daycare?

A: Watching the puppies form friendships at The Puppy Den and then watching them reunite at The Dog Den as adults. Seeing them go ”oh, I know you!” is possibly the cutest thing of all time!

Q: What is your favorite part of training?

A: Helping shyer pups become more confident. I have found few things more rewarding than gaining the trust of a shy and fearful dog and helping them to become a more confident version of themselves.

Q: Favorite thing about your team?

A: Everyone here truly cares about the dogs in our care and everyone works hard to put the dogs first in every decision that we make.

Q: Favorite thing about the clients?

A: Our clients are amazing! They are loyal, funny, and kind. I'm honored that they put their trust in us to care for their wonderful pups.

Q: Favorite thing about the dogs?

A: Everything! But if I had to pick one thing, it would be watching a dog have that light bulb moment in class when they connect the dots and understand exactly what it is their owner is asking them to do. They stand a bit taller, the confused or frustrated look in their eyes goes away, and they might even do a confident prance, because in that moment they've connected with their owner and all they want is to connect with us and have fun.

Q: Something unique about you – not related to the dogs

A: I enjoy ballroom dancing!

A: I speak Japanese! I studied abroad in Japan for a semester during college.

A: Labrador!

Q: Which breed did you grow up with?

A: A pair of mixed breed pups we got from a family friend who had an accidental litter. They were half English Springer Spaniel and half we have no idea what! I come from a farming family and so I spent a lot of time at our family farms growing up. At one farm we always had a miniature schnauzer and at the other we always had a German shepherd. Big, small, or medium – I love them all!

Q: Tell us about the pets that you live with now?

A: Colette - a.k.a. Lettie Spaghetti - is turning 4 on the 30th!!! I can't believe she's already 4. She is still the best decision I've ever made and the best girl I could ever hope for! She loves coming to daycare with me and seeing all of her friends. She's so smart and a bundle of energy
